the best thing about this is
a) it's the ISS in all it's sci (non) fi glory
b) it's a mess
the laptop cables, urine tubes, and parts are everywhere.
and i quote: the cables are 'cabley', the 'functional cargo bay' is 'functional' and extremely 'cargoey'.
there's 4 parts... watch them all... especially the 'russian side of things'.
only thing i find a bit dissonant is the lack of apparent camaraderie between the astronaut on bike watching wierd cartoons and the astronaut giving the tour. maybe i'm reading into things. but one gets a feel for how much psychology plays into things on such close quarters in such conditions.
also super rad is the japanese module - kibo - it's a big zen white cube with a big window.
while we wait for the ballpoint pen-sized ovens to come online so they can incinerate the scoop of the soil so we can get actual tests of the martian soil - o, the suspense - of whether or not this photo from saturday is actually
nasa distracts us with a lovely intermission, a CGI of magnetic field visualization.
i think it's sound controlling the params of some field line CGI generator. quite nice tho.
