wouldn't it be cool if the US would stop accepting the billion dollars or so a day that china invests in us, refusing to trade until it gives up it's wait-until-he-dies approach to tibet ???

meanwhile across the pond...
sarkozy was fascinating enough when a famous author & playright tailed him for a novel. [that would NEVER happen in the US !]
then, soon into office, he goes and marries an aristocratic ex-fashion model gone pop star (she was #1 in charts in 2003).
now, the french 1st lady is putting out a new album... and the lyrics of once song... "Tu es ma came," Bruni edifies her husband and his masculinity by comparing him to a drug:
"More lethal than Afghan heroin, more dangerous than Colombian white [cocaine]… My guy, I roll him up and smoke him." [source]
her guy, being The President.

and the press? no outrage, no misdirected tabloid love/hate... they're covering her like jackie O. they LOVE it.
